Wishart, 67, Dies, Retired GE Employe

Thomas Wishart, 67, of 63 Spruce Street died yesterday at St. Clare’s hospital after a short illness.

BORN IN SCOTLAND, he lived in Schenectady about 40 years and was employed as a machine tool fitter at the General Electric Co. for 37 years until his retirement in 1960.

A member of the State Street Presbyterian Church, he also belonged to the Clan MacRae 158 OSC, St. Andrew’s Society, the British Empire War Veterans and the GE Quarter-Century Club. Mr. Wishart, a World war 1 veteran of the British Army, was a member of the Clan MacRae soccer team for several years.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE his wife, Margaret Mather Wishart; a daughter, Mrs John Carbonelli, Schenectady; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Brown, Scotland, and Mrs. Ann Ormiston, England; a brother William Wishart, Scotland; and two grandchildren, Susan and Jeffrey Carbonelli.

Rev. Ralp H. Booth, pastor of the State Street Presbyterian Church, and Rev. Jack Cooper, former pastor of the church, will officiate at the 2:30pm funeral service Sunday in Baxter’s funeral parlors.

Burial will be in Memory’s Garden. The funeral home will be open tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m.
